After a good journey down past the Oregan coast, we happily entered San Francisco Bay, under our own steam traveling under the San Francisco Bridge!   Wow!  It was a very big moment because I’ve seen it in so many movies.    It was very memorable! Luckily it was a beautiful day with big blue skies and it was a beautiful moment as we glided underneath it.   I was very happy to be here!   Approaching the Golden Gate Bridge Some friends of ours, Adam and Eve, who we were really looking forward to...

Our time in Canada was nice but after about four months, it was time to leave. The voyage down to Seattle was alright, the weather was great sometimes and not so great other times. On our way down we went through Puget Sound, and upon our arrival, we went through the Ballard Locks which led us into our first marina, Salmon Bay Marine Centre which is owned by family friends of ours, Don and Sharry Stabbert. While coming into port at Salmon Bay Marine Centre, I noticed that the winds and weather w...

Pendana In Canada   The first place we went to in Canada was Prince Rupert and the last was Victoria before we were headed for Seattle. Luckily I was there to see a lot of Canada, and what I saw was a variety of petite and mostly colorful pretty little towns with small cottages and some intimidating cities with sk...

I am sorry that I took so long to write this blog, but as most of you will know I am currently in Hawaii. All of us have been having a wonderful time and I have been busy with my school. I have seen so many extraordinary places on The Big Island and in Honolulu, so this blog will be about my time in the Hawaiian Islands. We arrived in Hawaii from Kiribati (Christmas Island) on June 21st where we cleared customs and entered the United States of America. When I first saw the scenery of Hilo, it ...

Kiritimati   We have finally arrived in Kiritimati from Apia, Samoa after seven long days at sea. The weather on this passage wasn't so good the first couple of days (1 - 1.5 meters with 4 - 5 second wave period which made it choppy) but after that, it mostly improved and was a reasonable run, I guess.   As we were coming into anchor (in the ocean) we knew that this place would be very special because there were SO many fish! When I say “so” many I mean you could almost walk across them! We ha...
